The I. A. F. E. Convention This is none too early a date for the governments of cities and towns to begin planning to send the chiefs of their fire departments to the Atlanta convention of the International Association of Fire Engineers. That this should be done by every municipality that desires to make its fire fighting forces efficient and up-to-date there can be no question. The convention of the national organization presents an opportunity for the chief of the fire department to perfect himself in all matters connected with his profession that no other event of the year does. In the membership of the organization is included the heads of departments of the principal cities and of the smaller towns, so that at its sessions fire-fighting problems are presented from every angle and by men who are on the firing line in all manner of warfare against fire.
