Fire of Incendiary Origin Causes Heavy Loss Fruit Packing Sheds Destroyed at Lodi, Cal.—Fuse at Pumping Station Burns Out During Blaze—Two General Alarm Fires in Augusta in One Day—Fire Record of the Week Fruit Packing Sheds Destroyed in Lodi According to a report furnished FIRE AND WATER ENGINEERING by Fire Marshal William H. Faust, ot the fire department of Lodi, Cal., at the request of Chief E. H. Stark, a fire involving heavy loss destroyed the fruit packing sheds of the Earl Fruit Company, on July 2. The sheds were situated in the Packing District of the city, in the southeast-east of the center. The burned district occupied an area of two blocks, 400 x 800 feet, and the buildings had been erected from fifteen to twenty years.
