FORT WORTH NEEDS NEW APPARATUS Fort Worth, Texas.—Chief Sandifer Ferguson of the Forth Worth fire department has recommended to the city commission that two new fire halls and one extra piece of apparatus be added to the equipment of the fire department. He says that a station should be located in the vicinity of North Sixteenth street and Homan avenue in the northwest part of the city, and one should be in the vicinity of Eighth and Magnolia avenues. At the new station in the northwest part of the city he proposes to have a triple combination apparatus and at the other a pumper. The triple combination apparatus carries ladders, hose and chemicals. He also recommended that an extra piece of apparatus be purchased to replace the regular machinery when it is out of order.
