SAFE MOTION PICTURE FILMS ARE IN DEMAND If reports are true, there is quite a stir in the motion picture industry in Paris because the law says that they have had sufficient time to get rid of the celluloid film and use a non-inflammable. Many of the producers claim that the new material is not sufficiently pliable, will not stand the wear and tear of the celluloid and does not permit of the picture being shown on the screen clearly. Too much blur. All know that the celluloid film will take fire very readily and has been the cause of many fires in motion picture houses, therefore it is time that we got away from the hazard. I wonder if it is not a fact that because the celluloid proved such a good factor in early experiments that it was decided upon as the “onliest” and there the matter rested?…
