WALLINGTON HAS ELECTION Wallington, N. J.—The annual election held by the Wallington Fire Department in the Municipal Building developed into a spirited contest for three offices. Garret Beker and Arnold Arts were the contestants for the office of assistant chief, Roy Aims and Adam Pavlick were rivals in seeking the assistant foremanship of Hose Company No. 2, and George S. Taylor and Stephen Sikora, the latter a last-minute candidate, were opponents for the assistant foremanship of Hose Company No. 1. Bekker received 32 votes while Arts received 23. Aims garnered 14 votes to Pavlick’s 11, and Taylor ran up 18 against Sikora’s 12. Charles Baur was elected as chief of the Fire Department without opposition, He succeeds Roberts J.
