CHILD STARTS A FIRE

Issue 10 and Volume 15.

CHILD STARTS A FIRE No doubt she had often seen Mamma do it, and as Mamma was not present, little six-year-old May decided to explore the clothes closet, with a candle. Little May was unharmed, I am glad to chronicle, but Mamma, coming in a run, was severely burned, the fire department called and the house was saved. It sounds so much like the “I told you so” to mention what follows, but then from results, it seems that we cannot mention the matter too often. “Keep matches away from tots, and never leave them alone where there is a fire.”
