Wisdom from a Local Newspaper The small town newspaper often speaks words of good sense and a short editorial appearing in a Nebraska daily published in one of the villages of the state contained a nugget of wisdom that is worth reproducing. The paper in question says: “Let Us Have Waterworks—Shubert needs a waterworks system now more than she ever needed any other improvement of a public nature before. We have as good electric lights as any city in this part of the state. In fact, we have as good lights as Lincoln or Omaha. Why not be progressive and put in water works? A plant for this town can be installed and completed for ten or fifteen thousand dollars; then the water of the town would he sanitary.
