Lawrence, Mass., Buys Stutz Apparatus

Issue 1 and Volume 71.

Lawrence, Mass., Buys Stutz Apparatus To complete the motorization of its fire department, the city of Lawrence, Mass., has just awarded a contract for seven pieces of Stutz motor fire apparatus—four 750 gallon triple combination cars and three city service trucks. This equipment, which it is expected will be ready for service in March, will place the Lawrence department on a thoroughly up-to-date basis and among the few of its size in New England that are entirely motorized. There are now in service two White pumpers and one White and one Buick combination chemical and hose cars, outside of the horse drawn equipment, which the new Stutz apparatus will replace.
