New Jersey State Chiefs Hold Meeting The semi-annual meeting of the New Jersey State Fire Chiefs’ Association was held on May 17 at Hackensack, N. J. The session convened in the county courthouse, the first at 10 o’clock a. m., and the second at 2 p. m., a luncheon being served between the two sessions. Spencer D. Baldwin, mayor of Hackensack, N. J., and Honorable R. K. Storm, fire commissioner of the city, delivered the welcome addresses and the speakers were Dr. Harry Archer, honorary deputy chief, N. Y. fire department, and Herbert N. Morse, business manager, department of public instruction, New Jersey. Several committees gave interesting reports, among them being those on schools, standardization, membership, legislation and fire prevention. The Hackensack department, under Chief Ziegler, prepared an interesting program of entertainment, which was greatly enjoyed by the members. Fred A. Trowbridge is secretary of the association.
