Marshalltown to Get New Water Works Pumps

Issue 12 and Volume 72.

Marshalltown to Get New Water Works Pumps The firm of Alvord, Burdick & Howson, consulting engineers of Chicago, have delivered to the city council of Marshalltown, Iowa, plans and specifications for new pumps to be installed in the city water department. There was a delay in completion of the plans because of the necessity of added information relative to changes made at the reservoir in pipe connections since the engineers made a survey of the water system late in the winter. On receipt of the plans the council will take action looking to the installation of the pumps. A pumping station will be erected in the well field to house the pumps.
