Fiftieth Anniversary of Red Bank Fire Dept. The Red Bank, N. J., fire departmemnt, of which Oliver G. Frake is chief, Fred Gill, first assistant chief and Walter S. Noble, second assistant chief, held the celebration of its fiftieth anniversary on Thursday and Friday, September 14 and 15. Fifty companies from all over the state took part in the parade, which took place on Thursday, September 14, at 2 P. M. Chiefs Moore of Newark, Greenfield of Kearney, and Keiring of Plainfield, were the judges. On Friday there was a pumping contest for 500 gallons or over and 750 gallons or over. At 2 P. M. there were three events: First, a motor-drawn hose-laying contest, the conditions of which were run one-quarter mile, lay 150 feet hose, coupling broken and three full turns on pipe; slip couplings barred.
