Jersey City Asks for Additional Water Supply Jersey City, M, J., has filed an application with the state board of conservation and development for permision to obtain an additional supply of water from Split Rock Pond in Morris County, to the extent of 5,000,000 gallons daily. The question was discussed at a meeting of the conservation board here yesterday afternoon and it was decided that Director Henry B. Kummel, after negotiating with the Jersey City authorities, should determine upon some date in October for a hearing. The Clinton Water Supply Company in Hunterdon County was given authority to provide water to Lebanon, a municipality having between 400 and 500 inhabitants.
