But in our enthusiasm to promulgate the principles of Fire Prevention, we are apt to pass over a most important field that should receive first attention in this matter. This is the fire department. The men of our fire departments are trained to the last word in fire fighting. The product of the modern fire department school is a scientific fire fighter who battles with the red enemy as much with his brain as he does with his strong arm.
