The new 2,100.000-gallon reservoir for the Vandorn state of Lincoln, Neb., is nearing completion. J. S. Adams of New York has been elected president of the Chattanooga Water Company, succeeding M. F. Riley, who resigned. The Spring Valley Water Company of California has issued $22,000,000 worth of refunding mortgage 20-year 5 per cent, bonds. Work is being pushed to completion on the city water works system in De Smet, S. Dak. The well is 16 feet in diameter and 25 feet deep. A bond issue in Johnson City, Tenn., of $55,000 for water works improvements was defeated in the city election in the middle of November, by a vote of 572 to 270. Work has been started in Ashton, S.
