FOUR HUNDRED ILLINOIS FIREMEN HOLD CONVENTION IN DIXON Thirty-fifth Annual Meeting Held in Illinois City, with Large Attendance—Officers Elected for Year—Aurora Convention City for 1924 THE Illinois Firemen’s Association met at Dixon, Ill. on January 9, 10 and 11, for its thirty-fifth annual convention. The sessions were held in the Family Theatre in that city and were called to order by President Simon Kellerman, Jr., of Edwardsville, on the morning of January 9, there being some 400 delegates in attendance. The address of welcome was delivered by Mayor D. Smith Dixon of the city, and President Kellerman made the response. The feature of the first day’s session was an address by State Fire Marshal John G. Gamber of Illinois, who referred to the great number of incendiary fires during the year and asserted that the cause was overinsurance.
