WATER WORKS NEWS NOTE—Special Water Business News, with proposals, etc., will be found on page 319.—EDITOR. A new water tower will be erected in Palmer City, Ill., at a cost of over $5,000. A. E. Tain has been appointed water superintendent of Neosho, Mo., to succeed J. M. Rush. The water commissioners of Macon, Ga., officially informed the city council on January 30 that they had retired $30 000 bonds. A new intake and suction pipe are to be installed at the city water works at Fargo, N. Dak., according to R. T. Jacobson, city engineer. A new $500,000 water works is under construction in Parsons, Kan. This will be completed, according to a report by the mayor and commissioners, by August next. W. J. Leach, who has been superintendent of the Fergus Falls, Minn., water department since its installation, fortyone years ago, died on January 13 in that city,…
