NEW YORK FIRE DEPARTMENT NOW HAS ITS OWN AMBULANCE Deicription of the New Unit Presented to the Department by Honorable Deputy Chief Kenny—List of the Equipment and Supplies DUE to the generosity of Honorary Deputy Chief William F. Kenny, the New York City fire department now possesses the last word in fire department ambulances. The ambulance, which was presented to the department by Chief Kenny in memory of his father the late Chief of Battalion Thomas A. Kenny and which is constructed on a Locomobile chassis, was built under the general supervision of, and equipped with supplies selected and arranged by Chief Medical Officer Joseph E. Smith and Honorary Medical Officer Harry M. Archer. It was placed in service at 9 A. M., February 1, and is located at the quarters of Engine Company No. 56, 120 West 83rd Street in the borough of Manhattan. The ambulance responds to all…
