RUDOLPH HERING, WELL KNOWN WATER WORKS ENGINEER, DIES A Familiar Figure at the Water Works Conventions and Former Consulting Engineer of New York City Water Department and Other Cities Passes Away DR. RUDOLPH HERING, who besides being a prominent water works engineer was a well known and respected figure at the conventions of the American and New England Water Works Associations, passed away at his home at 1 West 70th Street, New York City, on May 30. Dr. Hering was formerly a member of the firm of Hering & Fuller, who were consulting engineers to several water and sewerage boards, including New York City. New Orleans, La., and Columbus. Ohio. Dr. Hering was born in Philadelphia, February 28, 1847, and received preliminary education in the private schools of his native city.
