Annual Inspection of Hartford Water Works The officials of Hartford, Conn., who made a thorough inspection of the city’s reservoir system, on June 14, under the direction of Caleb M. Saville, general manager and chief engineer of the water board, were unanimous in their praise of the entire system, stating that the residents generally do not realize what a fine water supply plant the city owns and that many more ought to visit the supply system in West Hartford, where the filtration plant is located, as well as the large Nepaug reservoir in New Hartford. To the visitors the filtration plant proved interesting. The controlling stations and other above-ground properties which are mostly of new construction and which have been recently painted, made a favorable impression on the party as to cleanliness and efficiency.
