Wants to Locate Nozzle Makers To the Editor: Approximately twenty years ago while serving this city as fire chief the writer purchased from someone he does not remember or the firm who made a shut-off nozzle that threw both a round and flat stream of water. As I remember the construction, by turning a small collar on the nozzle tip which was bored eccentric, it opened the device which was about the shape of an alligator’s mouth, thereby allowing the round stream to escape, and by turning it in the opposite direction the mouth came together thereby causing a flat stream to be thrown.
