Orange County, N. Y., Firemen Meet The ninth annual convention of the Orange County Volunteer Firemen’s Association was held in the city hall of Middletown, N. Y., on September 29, with delegates from the various cities and towns of Orange County in attendance. The address of welcome was delivered by Mayor Lawrence of Middletown. The entire ticket was re-elected, the officers of the association being: President, Joel B. Wheeler, Phoenix; First Vice-President, Henry Gibson, Cornwall; Second Vice-President, H. B. Green, Chester; Third VicePresident, M. J. Hanna, Walden; Fourth Vice-President, W. M. Gildersleeve, Central Valley; Fifth Vice-President! George M. Brown. Newburgh; Secretary, H. H. Smith, Goshen, and Treasurer, C. W. Vollmer, Port Jervis. F. L. Hall was elected delegate to the annual convention of the Hudson Valley Firemen’s Association in Hudson in June, 1923.
