Advantages of Electrically-Driven Pumping Plant for Small Water Works To the Editor: Pressure is being brought to bear to have us change our pumping plant from steam to electricity, the claim being made that it will mean greater operating economy. Our town is comparatively small, 3,000, and we are naturally interested in any plan that will cut down costs, but before we go into this thing I should like to learn from some disinterested source just what the relative advantages of electricity are.
