Darien Firemen Accused of Arson Richard Abdendroth, chief mechanic of the Darien, Conn., fire department; Arthur Wilmot, George Smith, Carl Rellstab, members of the same department; Special Officer Ferdinand Hartog, mechanic of the Norton Heights Engine Company No. 1. and two civilians, Harry Pardee, and George Nash were bound over to the February term of the Criminal Superior Court at Bridgeport on January 4 by Justice John H. Selleck of the Darien Town Court following their arrests on January 2 by the Connecticut State Police charged with setting fires within the past year which caused property loss of approximately $75,000. Abdendroth and Wilmot are held in bonds of $3,000, Nash in bonds of $2,000, while the bonds of the others are smaller in amount.
