Texas Towns Receive Fire Credits The state of Texas fire insurance commission has given 105 Texas towns credit for good fire records during the past three years. These credits apply on all the fire insurance policies written on or before February 28, 1925, and cover property only within the corporate limits of such towns. Out of this total of 105 towns, 71 are allowed the maximum credit of 15 per cent, on the final rate, 9 were granted 12 per cent., 11 given 9 per cent, reduction, 7 given 6 per cent, reduction, and 7 given 3 per cent, reduction. Cross Plains showed the greatest loss ratio for the past three years with a loss of .547, while five towns, Alvord, Bastrop, Fayetteville, Lexington and Shiner, showed no loss ratio for the three-year period. Waco, the largest city included in the list, showed a loss ratio of .352.
