March Meeting, Mass. Fire Chiefs’ Club

March Meeting, Mass. Fire Chiefs’ Club Chief James M. Casey, of Cambridge, presided at the March meeting of the Fire Chiefs’ Club of Massachusetts, which was held at the Parker House in Boston on Wednesday, March 19, following the usual monthly luncheon. There was a large attendance, 85 chiefs being present. The guests of the day were Battalion Chief Reid, of New York City and Commissioner of Public Safety Marshall, of Lawrence, Mass. An invitation was received to hold the May meeting of the club in Worcester. A decision in the matter will be made at the April meeting. Reports of progress in standardization of hose couplings and discussion of automatic gas shut-off valves occupied most of the time.
