The Bond Market As a Barometer The municipal bond market is pretty sure to serve as an excellent barometer as to general conditions in regard to improvements in cities and towns. This is true as regards both water works and fire protection bonds and when there are numerous such issues in the market and there proves to be a good demand for them, it can pretty safely be predicted that improvements and extensions all along the line will follow.
