FIRE CHIEFS’ CONVENTION This Matter and Establishment of More Stringent Parking Laws Discussed — Meeting Held with Mayors’ Conference—Officers Elected THE establishment of a state college and more stringent regulations for the parking of automobiles were discussed respectively by State Assemblyman Forman E. Whitcomb, of Broome County, and William P. Capes, secretary of the Conference of Mayors and Other City Officals of New York State at the eighteenth annual convention of the New York State Association of Fire Chiefs, held in the Powers Hotel, Rochester, N. Y., on June 3 to 5. The convention of the fire chiefs was held in connection with the Conference of Mayors. The formal opening of the chiefs’ convention took place in conjunction with that of the Mayors’ conference at nine o’clock on June 3.
