Los Angeles Assured of Plenty of Water The city of Los Angeles, Cal., according to Chief Engineer William Mulholland of the water bureau, is now assured of an ample supply of water, owing to operations now well under way by the bureau, which will add 200 second feet of water to the city s supply in addition to all of the water obtained from Owens River. The average daily domestic consumption of Los Angeles is about 200 second feet, and the new water sources now being developed are in themselves capable of meeting the city’s domestic water needs and, according to Mr. Mulholland, will constitute an absolute guarantee against any possibility of a shortage next year.
