Fire Loss Reduction Continues in October The general reduction in fire losses throughout the United Stated and Canada noted in previous issues of FIRE AND WATER ENGINEERING still continues, according to records on file in our offices, there being a falling off of nearly $4,000,000 as compared with September, 1924. The fire losses for the ten months of 1924 are as follows: The amount of losses for October also compares favorably with that of the corresponding month in 1923 as will be seen by the preceding table, a difference being noted of about $4,000,000. In the number of fires of $10,000 loss and over occurring in October, there is also a reduction from the previous month, the figures for September being 417 and for October 381.
