Fire Alarm Notes Superintendent Miller, Kingston, N. Y., to Get New Truck —At a special meeting of the Kingston, N. Y., board of fire commissioners last month the purchase of a one-ton Stewart truck with special body for the use of Fire Alarm Superintendent Marshal Miller, was authorized. Concord, N. C., Considers Installing Modern System—The city council of Concord, N. C., recently discussed the advisability of installing a modern fire alarm system. At present all fire alarms are telephoned and this system has proved unsatisfactory in many respects. Nothing definite has been decided. East Chicago Contracts for New Alarm System—The city of East Chicago, Indiana, has awarded a contract to the Harrington-Seaberg Fire Alarm Telegraph Company of Moline, Ill., for the installation of a complete alarm system, including thirty-three boxes and central office equipment, at $29,163.
