Connecticut Water Companies Expect Good Year Connecticut water supply companies are looking forward to a prosperous 1925, according to G. Y. Gaillard, president of the New Haven, Conn., Water Company. “My views are based upon a belief that every industry in the state of Connecticut would show a great improvement over last year,” says President Gaillard, “and that inasmuch as water supply prosperity was dependent upon use of water in industry, those companies would likewise enjoy a fine year. The use of water in homes and stores is fairly stable, but its industrial use varies with the trend of manufacturing. The three long droughts of 1924 have hit the water supply of the state rather hard and have left reservoirs in several parts of the state at their lowest ebb in years.
