Detroit-New York Base Ball Game July 8, for Benefit of New York Honor Emergency Fund The Honor Emergency Fund of the fire department of the city of New York has scheduled a game of baseball on July 8, between teams representing tbe fire departments of Detroit and New York, at the Yankee Stadium. The receipts from this game arc to go to the Honor Emergency Fund, the income of which is used to assist the widows, orphans and disabled men of the department. The fund has a principal of about $225,000, and in a period of four years has expended in relief the sum of $30,527 at a cost of only $200.16.
