Lebanon Chief Fire Prevention Inspector

Lebanon Chief Fire Prevention Inspector Chief George L. Shuey, of the Lebanon, Pa., fire department, has been appointed by the city council as fire prevention inspector in the bureau of fire prevention, department of public safety. This appointment, which came to Chief Shuey as a reward from the city officials for his work in fire prevention, was the result of a city ordinance creating the office of fire prevention inspector, and carrying with it the provision of a salary of $1,500 per annum. The fire department of Lebanon is a volunteer force and the chief only receives an annual stipend of §100. Chief Shuey will hereafter devote all of his time to the fire prevention office, combining it with his post as fire chief.
