Retired Firemen Cannot Work for City Refer J. Quigley, deputy chief in charge of the division of pensions in the New York fire department has sent to the 1,800 former members of the N. Y. F. D. who are now on the pension rolls, the following notice, warning them that it is a violation of law to accept employment under the city, county or state while drawing a pension from the municipality. The notice was attached to all pension checks sent out this week for payment of pensions due August 1st.
