Cobb Traffic Chief of Boston Department

Issue 14 and Volume 78.

Cobb Traffic Chief of Boston Department George F. Cobb, traffic manager for the New England Association of Fire Chiefs and the Massachusetts Fire Chiefs’ Club, has been given charge of the management of the automobile traffic problems affecting the Boston Fire Department with the honorary title of Traffic Chief. Fire Commissioner Theodore A. Glynn made an announcement to this effect recently and is referring all questions of parking regulations, etc., to Mr. Cobb for investigation and report. Whether the matter is one of motor traffic congestion involving the right of way for fire apparatus or a mere matter of transportation details and arranging hotel accommodations for chiefs at conventions Mr. Cobh appears to be equally at home with the subject. Ho has made a study of Boston’s downtown section and had already made a number of recommendations with a view to relieving present conditions.
