Menasha to Have Filter Plant A new filter plant, to cost approximately $100,000, will probably be installed at Menasha, Wis. The water and light committee is to prepare a report on the probable cost of such equipment in an effort to purify the city water supply. Conditions at the present time of the year have grown very bad, it is said. The city water plant at the present time is pumping two million gallons of water per day. Port Deposit, Md., Installs Siren—An electric siren has been erected on one of the fire houses in Port Deposit, Md. Nashville, Tenn., System Called Antiquated—Chief J. W. Weaver of Nashville, Tenn., told the members of the city council that the city was operating with an antiquated fire alarm system. The system was installed thirty years ago when the city boasted of a population of 70,000, and it is now completely outgrown.
