“Light Wagon” Furnished to Lawrence A test was held on August 13, during the convention of the State Firemen’s Association, of the new “Light Wagon” equipped by the Lawrence, Mass., Gas and Electric Company, for use at fires. This car responds to every alarm of fire in Lawrence. The truck was in charge of the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent and general foreman of the Lawrence Gas and Electric Company electric department, was stationed at the corner of Broadway and Concord street. The three five hundred candle power flood lights were placed on Broadway facing the Eagles building flooding the entire front of the building and adjoining properties with an unusually brilliant light. Later without having to move the truck the lights were taken into the alley-way in the rear of Broadway, running from Concord to Lowell streets about 400 feet distance and the rear of the Broadway building illuminated.
