Dominion Fire Prevention Association Meets The annual meeting of the Dominion Fire Prevention Association took place at the Chateau Laurier, Ottawa, Can., on April 29 and 30, and the annual conference of the Association of Canadian Fire Marshals met on Wednesday, April 28, at the same place, during the Fire Prevention Association’s meeting. At the Fire Marshals Conference a feature was a report in person by Chief James Armstrong, of Kingston, Ont., president of the International Association of Fire Engineers, on the activitiesand work of that body during the year, and its plans for the future. Among other important committees reporting at the meeting of the Dominion Fire Prevention Association was that of the Technical Committee on the Combustibility of Roofing Materials, This was in the nature of a progress report, and the committee at the suggestion of Chief Armstrong was asked to test and report on the combustibility of…
