NEW ENGLAND FIREMEN ASSIST IN SPREADING CHRISTMAS CHEER Several Departments Have Parties for Children Men Repaired Toys for Redistribution to Poor of District MANY a child in a number of New England cities was made glad through the activities of the firemen who spent their spare time in making and repairing toys for the children of the district. Some of these toys are most ingenious. Doll houses, miniature fire stations, circuitous railroad tracks with tunnels and bridges for tiny electric trains to traverse, rocking horses, and sleds are a few of the numerous things that are fashioned by the firemen in the workshops at the fire stations. This season the members of Hook and Ladder Company No. 8 and Engine Company No. 25 at Fort Hill Square in Boston turned out some remarkably fine toys, the houses and scenic railways being most skillfully made with every object perfect to the…
