NEW JERSEY CHIEFS CONSIDER PLANS OF EASTERN ASSOCIATION Capt. McCarthy of New York City Speaks on Motion Picture Theatre Construction Many Committees Present Reports CONSIDERABLE discussion took place on the value of the Eastern Association, at the quarterly meeting of the New Jersey Fire Chiefs’ Association held in Hackensack on January 18. Chief Charles Greenfield, president of the association and also president of the Eastern Association of the International Association of Fire Chiefs, presided. Under committee reports, R. M. Cadman outlined the extent to which standardization of hose threads was being carried out in the state. The committee on schools reported progress. Ex-chief T. Howell Johnson of Bloomfield announced that there were now 685 members. Secretary Trowbridge in his report stated that there were four deaths since the meeting in Atlantic City.
