The following description by its wide awake Chief of Patrols gives a very clear idea of its salient features: With a view to relocating patrol companies placed in service during horse-drawn apparatus days, the Chicago Board of Underwriters have recently erected a new headquarters station for the Chicago Fire Insurance Patrol. The building was constructed at No. 100 South Desplaines Street, which is midway between the former locations of Patrols Nos. 1 and 2.
