Arrested for “Holding” Fire Box It isn’t every one who has a quick and friendly response when a dizzy spell is coming on. But four engine companies, two ladder companies, and two chiefs’ cars came from every conceivable direction when a salesman who became dizzy in New York City, held on to a fire alarm box for support and unknowingly tripped the alarm. When the companies arrived, the salesman was still holding on to the box. Arraigned in court, the man pleaded that he thought he was grasping a lamp post. He was given a suspended sentence.
