Southeast Missouri Holds Fire School

Southeast Missouri Holds Fire School Fifteen towns were represented at the first Southeast Missouri Fire School Short Course held in Kennett, Mo. The school was so successful that an organization was formed under the name of the Southeast Missouri Firemen’s Association to see that the school becomes an annual affair. Chief T. E. Kirkpatrick of Poplar Blutf was elected President. Chief S. R. Longgrear of Kennett, Vice-President, and Chief R. D. Boyer of Dexter, Secretary. The Missouri Inspection Bureau were sponsors of the school. The Bureau had a large amount of equipment moved to Kennett to train the students. Instructors included Hugh C.
