Fire Department Abolished The town of Tyngsboro, Mass., voted on February 10 to abolish its Fire Department, thus dispensing with the services of Chief Harold Dunlap and his twenty-three firemen. The vote was 66 to 62. The sum of $1,600 was appropriated to be used by the Board of Selectmen for fire protection purposes. Local politics are believed responsible for the town’s action.
