Ladder and Water Tower Combined For the city of Los Angeles, Cal., the Underwriters have insisted that water tower respond on first alarm to the high value district. A special water tower crew was provided, but for the past two years the tower was only used three times. To meet the requirements of the Underwriters and at the same time to provide a truck having greater utility, Chief Scott decided that the water tower should be combined with a ladder truck. To give the crew complete protection a 4-door all-steel sedan type cab accommodating seven men is provided. The water tower will extend to a height of 65 feet and the nozzle is provided with four sizes of tips, 1 1/2, 1 3/4, 2, and 2 1/4inch.
