Ex-Chief T. A. Clancy Dead Thomas A. Clancy, Chief of the Milwaukee, Wis., Fire Department from July 11, 1905, until his retirement on January 1, 1925, died as the result of a heart attack at the age of 76. As a young man he was a blacksmith for the Milwaukee road. At the age of 23 he joined the Milwaukee Fire Department, and during the intervening years worked his way up to the head office. His friends presented him with a diamond ring when he retired. Chief Clancy served as President of the I. A. F. C. in 1917 and 1918. He is survived by his widow, two daughters, a brother, and five grandchildren.
