Oregon Chiefs Convene Chief William Batchelor, Pendleton, Ore., was elevated from Vice-President to President of the Oregon State Fire Chiefs’ Association at the 20th annual convention, held at Portland, Ore., June 5 to 7. The Chiefs met at the Multnomah Hotel. The other officers elected are Clinton Spaulding, Newberg, Vice-President; Ilo Stephens, Roseburg, SecondVice-President; Thomas Coates, Tilamook, re-elected Secretary for the 15th time, and Ivan Pierson, McMinnville, reelected Treasurer. A firemen’s circus was staged for the public at the drill tower in the evening, while during the day, there were evolutions and demonstrations for the visitors.
