Advice to Firemen In talking to two newly appointed firemen, Frank J. Healy, Chairman of the Board, Waterbury, Conn., said: “The minute you accept the badge, you are no longer an individual, but a public servant devoted to the safety of the public. You must regulate your own life and those of your family to live within your salary. You must submit to the discipline of the department. Tf you make a mistake, you bring discredit not only to the department, but those who sponsored your appointment.”
