THE ROUND TABLE For Practical Discussion of Current Fire Department and Fire Management Problems KEEPING MOTOR APPARATUS BATTERIES FULLY CHARGED OUT of sight, is the nerve center of the motor fire apparatus. It is the battery. Without it, all the well maintained cylinder units will not function. Batteries have to be serviced to see that they are properly maintained and that they are fully charged. There are many devices on the market for charging batteries, some functioning while the battery is in position on the apparatus chassis.
