Michigan Chiefs Hold Meeting The Southeastern Michigan Fire Chiefs met in Dearborn, Mich., during the early part of January. The usual election of officers followed a luncheon. Chief Chovan, of Grosse Pointe Park, was elected President to succeed Chief Albert Jaeger; Chief Hiscock, Port Huron. First Vice-President, and Chief Don Post, Ferndale, Secretary-Treasurer. Following the elections, members and guests motored by bus on a sightseeing trip by way of Greenfield Village to the Ford Foundation building project.. Here a demonstration was given with the recently delivered 100-foot all steel aerial truck. The trip ended with an inspection of a recently completed Fire Station. A tour was made through the station house which has facilities for men and apparatus all on the ground floor.
